Bracket Rocket Back at Bracket

A special delivery got a lot of attention as it made its way towards a Minneapolis park on Thursday.
Trucks returned the sculpture of a rocket to Bracket Park today.
Since 1962 this 35 foot tall rocket has been a symbol of the Longfellow Neighborhood. But after gracing the park for 45 years, the rocket needed some TLC.
Some in the area talked about taking it down, but others wanted to save it. They organized themselves and became known as the rocket boosters.
Well, they've done what they set out to do and Thursday, the sculpture began it's trip back to the park. Over the next two weeks it will be fully reassembled and will look as good as new.
